Join The Center for our 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program, featuring 12 in-person weekends over 9 months with next cohort starting Feb 6, 2026. The class is certified for approval through the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services' Educational Approval Program.

The Center offers time-tested wisdom and yogic philosophy from the Himalayan tradition as handed down from Swami Rama. Our teacher trainers have all been trained in the Himalayan Tradition, either at the Himalayan Institute or in our affiliate Center in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin! Our lineage of training threads from Swami Rama of the Himalayas, to Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, to Michael Ketterhagen and Luke Ketterhagen to Kelsey, Angie, and Jeff.

Join Kelsey Beine, Luke Ketterhagen, Angie Vis, Jeff Steig, for 12 weekends beginning February 6, 2026 as you embark on this important step in your yoga journey to deepen your spiritual connection to yoga philosophy. Whether you are called to the path of strengthening your practice and deeper commitment to transforming into a trusted guide and teacher of the Himalayan tradition, you will be supported by teacher trainers who live the yoga philosophy of our tradition.

The Center’s, yoga teacher training has supported countless seekers of self discovery and spiritual growth on their journeys since first hosting Himalayan Institute Training programs in 2000. As an independent registered yoga school with Yoga Alliance since 2015, and one of the only Hatha yoga teacher training program in the region, our 12-weekend intensive attracts students from across the Midwest.

The program has three parts. Full completion of all parts is required for certification.

Dates & Location
Teacher training classes are on weekends or the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes’ Founders Hall located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Saturday and Sunday classes are from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with a 45-minute break for lunch.

Certification
Participants who successfully complete the program receive Yoga Teacher Certification from The Center and are eligible to apply for the 200-hour level of registration (RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance.

Certification requirements include: full attendance in the training and completion of required assignments.

To enroll in The Center’s 200-hour yoga teacher training please submit all of the following application materials:

We also require that you have at least one year of personal yoga practice before applying.​

Please note: any payments made past the designated due date will incur a 1.5% late fee.

Books, props, and other materials are not included in the tuition. The required textbooks total approximately $100 and may be purchased online or at a local bookstore. Books can also be found at your local library or borrowed from staff as needed.
