Yoga for Special Needs

Service Description

The instructor will demonstrate and the participant will experience: a variety of poses and different levels or variations of that pose, a short meditation to calm the body, examples and education on different types of breathing, background and education on the hatha yoga tradition, background and knowledge of resolving conflicts/problems solving/stress management. Cost for participants: $5 per class About the instructor: Linda has her 200-hour hatha yoga certification, she also has knowledge on energy work. She believes that life is full of variations, and that anyone can do anything they set their mind to. Nothing is impossible, she sees this when she is working with her special needs niece, or at the group home she works at. Linda believes in giving back to the community that has given her so much. She has taught yoga at a couple different group homes and found that it is a reciprocal relationship and they get as much out of it as she does. It energizes and stimulates both instructor and participant. Linda enjoys the outdoors, you can often find her walking in the woods or at Lakeside Park coloring.
