Michael Ketterhagen Ph.D., Spiritual Director
Michael holds a doctorate in Spirituality and Healing from The Union
Institute and University of Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Ketterhagen is also
Associate Professor of Theology at Marian College in Fond du Lac,
Wisconsin. Michael used his dream for the FDL Center for Spirituality
and Healing as the basis of his doctoral thesis, which opened in the
Fall of 2000. Michael is also one of the Centers Certified Yoga
Instructors, having received his training through the Himalayan
Institute in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Michaels lifelong committment to
his own spiritual growth and healing, his vast knowledge on holistic
living and his strong desire to serve, allow him to direct the Center
in ways to better serve you and the community.
Debra Bruflat Executive Director
Debra brings a dynamic vision to the Center. Her commitment to yoga and
the mission of the Center is strong and enthusiastic. Her effervescent
personality provides a powerful witness to the Center's driving desire
to help all "discover joyful living."
Before coming to the Center, Debra was the Director of Finance and
Administration at Windhover Center for the Arts. Previous to that, she
worked at Marian College in the Student Development Center and Career
Services Department. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business
Administration, with a minor in communication.
"I am committed to do whatever it takes to make the Center a true
source of loving service to the community. I will work diligently with
the Center's team and Board of Directors to bring the Center to a new
level of service, not only for the Fond du Lac community, but the Lake
Winnebago/Fox Valley region. Together we will be an energetic force
that will continue to bring healing and wholeness opportunities to
"Discover Joyful Living."
Helen Renzelmann CSA, Administrative Support
Helen was born and raised in Sheboygan, WI. She entered the
Congregation of the Sisters of St. Agnes at the age of 17, and has
received a BS in Education from Marian College in Fond du Lac, and a MA
in History from Loyola University in Chicago. Helen has enjoyed a long
and varied career, teaching elementary school for 12 years, and high
school for 16 years. In 1969 she began work in Campus Ministry at
Nichols State University in LA. She spent 15 years in parish ministry
at various locations. Returning to Fond du Lac in 1989, she worked in
the Advancement Dept. at Marian College, retiring in 1996. Helen
believes that many of her life experiences have prepared her for her
current ministry here at FCSH. She has been studying yoga from Michael
Ketterhagen since 1999. Helen takes great pleasure in meeting all who
visit us, always offering one of her comforting “healing hugs”.
